			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I was so depressed after my birthday party last March. I felt insecured after seeing my old friends still slim and sexy, while I am weighing double to their weight. So, soonest they left&#8230;I started having a diet. Diva Jing sent me a copy of her diet plan she got somewhere, this Weight Loss Diet program was developed in conjunction with a grant from the US Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration. </p>
<p>My agony started with <strong>Day 1</strong>, the meal plan was consisted of all kinds of fruits except banana. I survived the first half of the day with ease. Later in the afternoon, I started imagining food while eating apple I dusted with cinnamon. Whoa, the scent of cinnamon reminds me the tasty cinnamon rolls. Crazy as I am, I turned on my pc and started searching for the recipe. Yes I know I was on diet but see, the spirit is indeed willing but the flesh is weak. So I surrendered and baked this delicious sweet cinnamon rolls instead. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I had been trying to bake chocolate cake with that creamy chocolate frosting like the one I&#8217;ve tasted in Davao. But unfortunately, I never succeed. So last Friday, I â€œcombedâ€ the whole web to find for the frosting recipe again. There were more than a hundreds of recipes I found but selected only two. The first one I made end up in the trash bin and the second was a success. Wow, I finally got the right mixture of creamy oh so creamy chocolate frosting.</p>
<p>My husband who came in the kitchen later was shaking his head as he saw the kids faces smeared with chocolate cream. My chocolate monsters had great fun eating the leftovers with their fingers.</p>
<p>To chocolate lovers like me, Iâ€™m going to share to you both chocolate chiffon cake and frosting recipe. By the way, this delicious chocolate chiffon cake recipe uses cocoa powder instead of melted chocolate to give it its wonderful taste. Please make sure to use cake flour for this cake.</p>

I usually bake this on special occassions, and family gatherings. I simply want to serve something different than the usual or typical german cake.Take note, this cake is not for young kids due to Amaretto. The alcohol amount is not much but I&#8217;d rather warn you upfront :). The recipe also contains fresh eggs, so I advice you to consume the cake at the same day you bake it or keep the rest refrigerated.</p>

But anyways, I can still manage to accomplish things so far. With delays of course, but I think what matters is that it is being done. I have so many recipes lined-up, recipes I cooked previously&#8230;so please do not ever wonder if I&#8217;m going to post them at one time. Don&#8217;t worry, I&#8217;m not posting it altogether in one entry. First to go is <strong>Stuffed Pepper</strong>.</p>
<p>Stuffed Pepper is an easy and quick recipe to prepare, just like all other recipes I posted earlier. So now let&#8217;s us not waste our time with blah blahs,Â let&#8217;s get started.</p>

<p>4 - 6 green bell peppers</p>
<p>16 oz ( 450g ) of ground lean beef</p>
<p>1Â  large onion ( peeled and finely chopped )</p>
<p>1 large egg, beaten</p>
<p>2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped</p>
<p>pinch of dried thyme</p>
<p>1 tsp finely chopped parsley</p>
<p>2 balls of Mozarella (sliced thinly)</p>
<p>2 tablespoonful of beef broth</p>
<p>4Â to 6 tablespoonful breadcrumbs</p>
<p>salt and freshly ground pepper to taste</p></div>

<p><strong>How to:</strong></p>

<p>Cut tops off peppers and remove seeds and white membrane. Wash peppers to prepare for filling. Mix ground beef, egg, salt and pepper, thyme, onion, garlic, parsley, beef broth and breadcrumbs together and mix well.Â Â Heat oven to 325 degrees or 170 Â°C. Stuff the meat mixture into the peppers,Â and place itÂ into a deep baking dish, you may addÂ Â¼ cup of water a piece of butter and pinch of salt (this preventÂ pepper to dry) and bake for 20 minutes.Â </p>
<p>When baking time is over, open oven and place one or two slices of mozzarella on top of stuffed pepper and bake it for another 10 to 15 minutesÂ or until mozzarella melt.</p>

<p>Serve hot with rice or pasta with cream or brown sauce.</p>
<p>You can change many of the ingredients in this recipe and still have a great meal. There was no mozzarella when I first learned it. Adding it gives this recipe more taste.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hafner family is one big family, yes it is&#8230;most specially when my step kids are here with us during school vacation time. Children in general are noted to be maselan sa pagkain. What to do if you have four kids around you and each of them has different choices of food. One doesn&#8217;t like fish, other is half vegetarian and the rest are not certain what they like to eat. I surely go nuts if I&#8217;ll wait and follow each of their wishes. So what I did is I prepared something very simple. It has vegetable, meat, pasta and cheese. It is quick to prepare, tasty and healthy. And to my surprise all four liked it.</p>
<p>Please take note that I prepare a big portion of Broccoli Casserole (<em>Broccoli Auflauf</em>). You have adjust the amount of the ingredients of this recipe for your own needs. So now here&#8217;s how:</p>

<p>1 liter sterilized low fat milk</p>
<p>250 grams Creme FraÃ®che</p>
<p>500 grams Ham</p>
<p>500 grams grated Emmentaler (you can also use Mozzarella instead)</p>
<p>1 kilo Penne Pasta</p>
<p>1 Kilo fresh or frozen Broccoli</p>
<p>2 Knorr Vegetable Stock Cubes</p>
<p>2 tbsp flour</p>
<p>salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste</p>
<p>Preheat oven to 350 Â°F or 180 Â°C</p></div>

<p>Cook pasta in plenty of boiling, salted water until just al dente. Peel stems and florets of Broccoli and blanched in salted water. Then slice ham into cubes.</p>
<p>In saucepan, combine milk, flour, creme fraÃ®che, vegetable stock cubes, salt, pepper and nutmeg and cook until slightly thickened.</p>
<p>In a large baking dish, toss cooked pasta, then spread sliced ham over top and add blanced broccoli. Pour sauce over the mixture then sprinkle grated cheese. Bake uncovered for 35 minutes or until cheese is golden brown (if desired).</p>

My hubby had been wondering where I got all the energy dahil kararating ko lang nakatayo na kaagad ako sa kusina at nagluluto. He kept on telling me not to bother cooking cause he knew I&#8217;m tired. But I simply can&#8217;t eat microwave food, it taste like plastic and besides I love cooking. You might not understand me when I say that I find cooking very relaxing. It&#8217;s my way of digesting all the stress from work. Okay, what is the relation of this recipe to microwave food? It&#8217;s the simpleness, easiness and fastness. Siyempre may kaibahan pa rin because you have to make it yourself. But what I am trying to point out here is the taste and food quality, kahit ito ay lutong madalian. I prepared this recipe for our dinner yesterday. I thought I can keep freeze the half but I was wrong, there was no half left.</p>
<p><strong>Baked Ground Meat In A Loaf (<em>Hackbraten</em>)</strong></p>
<p><strong>What you need:</strong></p>
<p>1 kilo mix ground meat = > 500 grams pork &#038; 500 grams beef  (<em>Hackfleisch gemischt</em>)<br />
5 eggs  (<em>Eier</em>)<br />
Feta Cheese  (<em>1 Packung Feta Kaese</em>)<br />
fresh Parsley   (<em>1 Bund frische Petersilie</em>)<br />
1 clove garlic  (<em>1 Knoblauchzehe</em>)<br />
1 onion medium size  ( 1 Zwiebel mittlere Groesse)<br />
breadcrumbs (Paniermehl)<br />
salt and pepper to taste</p>

<p>Hard boil 4 eggs before you start off. Thens slice/chop onion and parsley finely. Press or crush garlic and slice Feta cheese into cubes. Blend 1 egg well in a mixing bowl and add onion, parsley, garlic, salt and pepper. Add ground meat and a little amount of breadcrumbs. Knead meat mixture. Add a bit more breadcrumbs if needed, there should be enough amount of breadcrumbs to hold the mixture.</p>
<p>Now, line loaf pan with margarine. Place half of the amount of ground meat mixture (<strong>see picture series</strong>), peel off hard boiled egg and add it along with sliced Feta cheese on top of meat. Cover cheese and eggs with the rest of ground meat mixture. Meanwhile, pre-heat oven to 200Â°C. Bake the loaf on the centre shelf for 30-40 minutes, or 35-45 minutes, until it is golden brown. Remove from the pan after baking and place it in a platter and slice.</p>
<p>You can serve baked ground meat with noodles, biled rice, french fries or croquette (<em>Kroketten</em>)  along with a cream sauce (<em>Rahmsosse</em>) and salad.</p>

Matagal ko ng inaasam-asam na makakain ulit ng Palitaw pero malayo na ako sa kaibigan kong mabait at masipag. Kaya heto ako&#8217;t nagsariling sikap :).</p>
<p>Sa tutuo lang medyo nahirapan ako sa dough dahil dumidikit ito sa kamay ko everytime I tried to flatten it. Yon pala medyo sumobra lang ang tubig kaya ito basa. Basically, it is very easy to do pero siguro ganun lang talaga kapag first timer pa. It&#8217;s like as if you are experimenting. Tiyaga lang talaga ang kailangan. Here&#8217;s the result of what I made.</p>

<p><strong>The recipe:</strong></p>
<p><strong>Ingredients:</strong></p>
<p>500 gram glutinous rice flour</p>
<p>3/4 cup water</p>
<p>coconut flakes</p>
<p>white sugar</p>
<p>sesame seeds (toasted)</p>
<p>Mix rice flour with water to make dough. Make little balls then flatten. Boil water in a saucepan. Drop flattened dough balls into boiling water. The cakes are cooked when they float. Remove from water, let cool a little bit, roll in combined sugar and toasted sesame seeds and coconut flakes.</p>
